Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for an Online English Mentor supporting learners during Australian shift timings(8:30AM-2:30 PM). The Online English Mentor will conduct live, interactive online sessions focused on developing students’ English communication, grammar, reading, and writing skills. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans aligned with Codeyoung’s student-centric approach, using engaging activities to reinforce learning, and offering individualized feedback to help learners improve. The mentor will track student progress, maintain accurate session records, and communicate effectively with parents or guardians when needed. The role also involves collaborating with the academic team to refine learning materials and share insights on student needs.

Qualifications

• Strong command of English, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and written communication.
• Experience teaching or mentoring students online, preferably school-age learners, with a student-centered and interactive approach.
• Ability to plan and deliver structured, engaging online lessons tailored to different proficiency levels.
• Comfort with digital tools and online teaching platforms, including video conferencing and collaborative learning tools.
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills, with a patient and encouraging mentoring style.
• Reliable internet connection, suitable hardware for video sessions, and a quiet, professional workspace.
• Availability to work Australian shift timings and manage part-time, flexible schedules.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Communication, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., TEFL/TESOL) are a plus.
• Prior experience in EdTech or youth-focused learning environments is advantageous.
