Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for an Online English Mentor working in an Australia shift timing(8:30AM-2:30PM). The Online English Mentor will conduct interactive virtual sessions with school-age learners, focusing on spoken and written English, comprehension, and confidence-building. Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lesson plans, adapting teaching methods to different proficiency levels, and providing constructive feedback on assignments and participation. The mentor will track learner progress, maintain accurate session records, and communicate key updates to parents or guardians as needed. The role also involves participating in training sessions, following Codeyoung’s teaching guidelines, and contributing ideas to improve the learner experience. Qualifications Strong command of English language, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and written communication. Experience teaching or mentoring children or young learners in an online or classroom environment. Ability to design or adapt engaging, student-centric lesson plans and activities for different proficiency levels. Comfort with virtual teaching tools, video conferencing platforms, and basic digital classroom management. Excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to motivate and support learners from diverse backgrounds. Reliable internet connection, a quiet workspace, and appropriate hardware for conducting live online sessions. Availability to work during Australia shift hours and manage a consistent part-time schedule. Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Communication, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., TEFL/TESOL) are an advantage. Prior experience in EdTech, online tutoring, or after-school programs is a plus.
