The Role

We are looking for an Immigration Lawyer to join our legal team as a salaried, full-time employee.

This is a substantive, case-carrying role. You will manage your own client matters from legal assessment through to resolution, work collaboratively with our Migration Coordinators, and operate within a well-structured supervision and case management framework. Core hours are 9:00am–5:30pm AEST, Monday to Friday.

What We Are Looking For

• An Australian Practising Certificate (unrestricted, or subject to a supervised legal practice condition — see Jurisdictional Note below)
• A minimum of 2 years of experience practising immigration law in Australia
• Solid working knowledge of the General Skilled Migration pathway, including skills assessments, points-tested visa subclasses, and expressions of interest
• Solid experience with employer sponsored visa pathways, including subclass 482 and 186, standard business sponsorships, labour agreements, and nominations
• Proven ability to manage a caseload autonomously — meeting deadlines, maintaining accurate records, and escalating appropriately
• Strong legal drafting and research skills with high attention to detail
• The ability to communicate complex legal matters to clients with clarity and empathy
• Comfort working independently in a fully remote environment, with the systems literacy to navigate our platforms without hand-holding
• Availability and commitment to participate in structured legal team meetings two to three times per week, plus regular one-on-ones — remote does not mean disconnected
• A genuine team orientation: while each lawyer owns their caseload, we actively support each other and the expectation of collaboration is real
