We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Remote Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day financial transactions, ensure accurate record-keeping, and provide clear financial insights. Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Record and categorize all financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, credit cards, and other financial records.
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant accounting standards.
Assist in payroll preparation and ensure accurate reporting of payroll data.
Support the preparation of tax returns and liaise with external accountants or auditors when required.
Maintain and organize financial documents, ensuring secure and proper filing.
Monitor and manage budgets, alerting management to any discrepancies or potential issues.
Contribute to the development of financial best practices and improve efficiency in bookkeeping processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or other platforms).
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace tools.
Experience with remote collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom, or Teams).
Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience working in a remote or distributed team.
Familiarity with industry-specific accounting practices (e.g., retail, e-commerce, or services).
