About this role
IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "SPECIAL" Support educational outcomes and career guidance for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). VOLUNTEER Edoform is looking for an IVY volunteer! The volunteer will support the Interreg project “SPECIAL - Development of a cross-border mentoring model for enhancing special educational needs support in the South Adriatic region" , under the Programme Interreg IPA South Adriatic. The objective of the Interreg project "SPECIAL" is to improve educational outcomes and career guidance for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the South Adriatic area through the development of a cross-border mentoring model, supported by a joint strategy and action plan. The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities: Actively engage with educators, families, students and local stakeholders involved in supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Through participation in project events, meetings and community initiatives, the volunteer will help collect experiences, success stories and good practices that demonstrate the impact of inclusive education and cross-border cooperation; Support awareness-raising activities by creating communication content, preparing interviews and testimonials, documenting project events and contributing to social media campaigns promoting inclusion and equal opportunities. They will be encouraged to propose creative communication initiatives and citizen engagement activities aimed at increasing public awareness of the challenges faced by SEN students and of the solutions developed through the SPECIAL project; Support the organisation of local workshops, stakeholder meetings and training activities, facilitating interaction among educators, families, professionals and community representatives. Through these activities, the volunteer will contribute to strengthening dialogue, participation and cooperation among different actors involved in the project; Participate in exchanges with project partners from Italy, Albania and Montenegro, gaining first-hand experience of European Territorial Cooperation and contributing their own ideas, perspectives and creativity to project activities. Other information: Financial support of: 31.76 euros per day (week-end and holidays included) . Location: Ripalimosani, Italy. Start and duration: As soon as possible, for 6 months. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day. Insurance IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience. Contribution to travel costs Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
