Vacancy Information
Our client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Data Centers) to lead the design and coordination of complex mechanical systems within mission-critical environments. In this role, you will be responsible for developing reliable, efficient, and scalable mechanical solutions that meet the highest standards of performance and availability.
You will take ownership of mechanical building services design, including HVAC systems, advanced cooling technologies, and data center-specific installations. From concept development through detailed engineering, you will translate client requirements into practical and energy-efficient technical solutions that support long-term operational success.
As a senior member of the engineering team, you will work closely with multidisciplinary project teams, acting as a technical point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. You will also play an important role in mentoring junior engineers, contributing to technical development within the team, and supporting the successful delivery of projects from design through execution.
In addition, you will contribute to tender activities, cost estimates, technical reviews, and quality assurance processes to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the design and engineering of mechanical building systems including HVAC, cooling systems, and data center-specific installations.
- Developing technical concepts and translating client requirements into scalable, energy-efficient engineering solutions.
- Designing and evaluating advanced cooling technologies such as evaporative cooling, liquid cooling, and chiller systems.
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure fully integrated project designs.
- Acting as a technical point of contact for clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers within project teams.
- Supporting tender activities, cost estimates, technical proposals, and project planning.
- Contributing to quality assurance processes during both design and execution phases.
What You Need
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Extensive experience as a Mechanical Engineer within complex, mission-critical, or highly technical environments.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and cooling technologies within data centers or similar industries.
- Understanding of high-availability design principles and the requirements of mission-critical facilities.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering project teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver technically sound solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to take technical ownership and guide engineering teams.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
