Role Description This is a contract, remote role for a Wearing Tailor at ANTIC. The Wearing Tailor will create, alter, and finish garments based on design specifications, measurements, and client requirements. Daily tasks include interpreting patterns, cutting and sewing fabrics, performing fittings via virtual or remote methods, and adjusting garments to ensure proper fit and comfort. The role also involves consulting with clients or internal teams on style, fabric choices, and garment construction details, as well as documenting measurements and alterations accurately. The Wearing Tailor will collaborate closely with design, production, and customer service teams to maintain quality standards and on-time delivery.
Qualifications

• Strong tailoring skills, including precise cutting, sewing, and garment construction (Tailoring).
• Experience in creating and modifying garments such as dresses, suits, and other apparel (Dressmaking).
• Ability to perform accurate measurements and fittings, and translate them into well-fitted garments (Fitting).
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients and team members in a remote environment (Communication).
• Commitment to delivering a positive client experience and responding professionally to feedback (Customer Service).
• Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a strong sense of style, proportion, and fabric behavior.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Previous experience in fashion, tailoring, or garment production; formal training or certification in tailoring or dressmaking is an advantage.
