The Country Wearing Tailor will design, cut, and construct country-style garments, including fitting and adjusting pieces based on customer measurements and preferences. Daily tasks include reviewing style specifications, selecting suitable fabrics, and applying tailoring techniques to ensure durable, comfortable, and aesthetically consistent garments. The role also involves communicating with clients or internal teams to clarify requirements, manage alterations, and meet quality and delivery expectations. The successful candidate will collaborate with design and production teams to help refine patterns and maintain brand standards. Qualifications
Strong tailoring and dressmaking skills, including pattern interpretation, garment construction, and alterations.
Experience with fitting and adjustments to achieve precise measurements, comfort, and style for country wear garments.
Effective communication and customer service skills to understand requirements, manage expectations, and provide professional guidance.
Attention to detail, craftsmanship, and quality control in all stages of garment production.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, managing time, deadlines, and multiple orders or projects.
Familiarity with country wear styles, fabrics, and finishes is preferred.
Proficiency with basic tailoring tools and, where applicable, home or studio sewing equipment.
Previous experience in fashion, tailoring, or garment production, or relevant vocational training or certification, is an advantage.
