Capture is looking for a Software Product Manager with experience in enhancing, promoting, and supporting software applications. This position will work closely with the engineering team and other stakeholders to enhance and grow Capture’s industry-leading vertical marketing automation application that enables higher education institutions to identify, convert, enroll, and retain best fit students. This position requires software product management experience, great communication skills, and demonstrated success working collaboratively. The Software Product Manager is required to work effectively in a cross-functional environment to deliver high-quality, innovative products. They will work very closely with the engineering team, other product managers, sales, account executives, internal operations users, and product marketing. MUST-HAVES 3+ years of software product management experience which included close collaboration with software engineers, user experience and quality assurance. Agile development experience, especially writing clear and detailed user stories. Great at verbal and written communication to convey customer requirements to internal stakeholders and working with the software developers to develop and enhance our software application. Able to work in a fast-paced environment, wear many hats, and keep all the plates spinning. NICE TO HAVES Experience managing/participating in well run scrum/sprint processes. Experience creating wireframes that effectively communicate user requirements and accelerate development. Experience with user acceptance testing. Experience working with sales and marketing, helping develop effective materials to support sales and marketing activities. Business, research, and analytical skills that enable creation of well-reasoned business cases to inform feature and roadmap prioritization. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Gathering customer requirements, authoring product user stories and product requirement documents, collaborating in product development with the software engineering team, assisting with product marketing, and providing product support to internal users, sales and directly with customers. Interfacing with the client-facing teams to understand the business requirements and use cases – and then advocating and educating them regarding new product features. Acting as product lead in agile development teams, including sprint grooming, planning, feature/bug prioritization, and requirement definition. Building relationships with customers to garner feedback for the development of product offerings. Presenting products to internal and external customers at a senior level. Being the visible advocate for your products internally and externally. Contributing to product and go-to-market strategy. Ensuring smooth release process, release notes, user documentation, and sales enablement. YOUR EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 3+ years of software product management experience. Technical skills and demonstrated direct experience interacting with a technical audience, including software engineers and web developers. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and collaborate with different groups and personalities to achieve progress. DESIRED: Experience in Marketing Automation Technology and/or high-volume data transactional service. Experience in Higher Education recruiting and marketing.
