The Role_

// As Masabi moves into its next stage of growth, we’re building the foundations that help our teams do their best work and grow with us.

This role is about shaping how People Operations supports that journey. You’ll own the day-to-day running of People Operations end-to-end, from onboarding and employee support through to people programs, systems, compliance, payroll inputs and vendor coordination.

You’ll be hands-on, trusted to improve workflows, simplify repetitive work and build better ways of working using systems, data and automation where it makes sense.

This is a builder role for someone who enjoys spotting what feels unclear or overly manual, and turning it into something simpler, more thoughtful and more effective.

The right person will care as much about people as they do about how things run. You’ll notice where employees or managers experience friction, and take the lead in making things simpler, more human and easier to navigate.

Responsibilities_

• Own the running of People Operations across a globally distributed workforce, including onboarding, offboarding, employee queries, contracts, benefits and HR systems
• Partner with the wider People team to deliver key People programs such as performance reviews, engagement surveys and compensation cycles
• Build and improve workflows, processes and self-service experiences so they’re clear, consistent and easy to follow
• Maintain accurate people data in BambooHR, supporting reporting and visibility across the People team
• Keep People Operations compliant, organised and audit-ready across systems, training and documentation
• Work closely with Finance, IT, People Partners and external providers to keep payroll inputs, onboarding and vendor processes running smoothly
• Help build more scalable and thoughtful People Operations as Masabi grows

About You_

• Experience in People Operations, HR Operations or a HR Generalist role with strong operational ownership
• Comfortable owning work end-to-end and improving how things operate over time
• Confident with systems, spreadsheets and data
• Naturally proactive, organised and detail-oriented
• Empathetic and practical in how you support people
• Curious about automation, AI and using technology to simplify work and improve employee experience
• Strong written and spoken English

Nice to Have_

• Experience in a tech or scaling environment
• Familiarity with UK or EMEA employment practices
• Experience supporting remote or globally distributed teams
• Familiarity with BambooHR or similar HR systems
• Exposure to payroll inputs, vendor management, benefits or EOR models
