About the Role The Manager, Community Engagement leads strategic engagement and partnership approaches that strengthen ALT’s relationships with Aboriginal communities and key stakeholders across NSW. The role drives culturally informed collaboration to ensure community voices and priorities are embedded in ALT’s programs and initiatives, supporting the revival and revitalisation of Aboriginal Languages. The position contributes to ALT’s strategic objectives by fostering respectful partnerships and delivering community-led outcomes. We're Looking For Strategic Aboriginal community engagement: Drives meaningful engagement and partnerships with Aboriginal communities, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and key stakeholders to support culturally informed decision making and advance the revival and revitalisation of Aboriginal Languages across NSW. Team leadership and development: Leads and develops a high performing multidisciplinary team by setting clear priorities, allocating work effectively and supporting capability development to deliver strategic outcomes and culturally safe engagement. Stakeholder collaboration and influence: Builds and maintains strong internal and external relationships to exchange information, resolve issues and influence communication and stakeholder engagement strategies. Strategic advice and reporting: Provides high quality , evidence based strategic advice, briefs and reports that identify key issues and support informed decision making by senior executives and Ministers. Executive support and governance: Supports the Executive Director by coordinating and assuring the quality of strategic correspondence and complex documentation and overseeing stakeholder engagement and high profile events to ensure alignment with agreed priorities and timeframes . Culturally safe practice promotion: Promotes and embeds culturally safe engagement practices across programs and activities to support Aboriginal cultural expression and strengthen community identity and wellbeing. Planning, monitoring and evaluation: Plans, monitors and evaluates community engagement activities, identifying emerging issues and continuous improvement opportunities to strengthen outcomes for Aboriginal communities and stakeholders.
