This role is responsible for leading and executing end-to-end payroll operations in Colombia within an Employer of Record (EOR) environment. You will ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery across multiple clients. This is a high-impact role requiring deep expertise in Colombian payroll regulations, strong leadership, and a client-focused mindset. Every payroll cycle, compliance requirement, and client interaction must be executed with precision and accountability. Hybrid work setup Competitive salary and benefits HMO + free dependent Access to KMC's exclusive pantry (MadMax Coffee, Fresh Fridge) Diverse learning & growth opportunities Accessible Cloud HR platform (Sprout) Above standard leaves Payroll Operations Management Oversee the full payroll cycle for employees in Colombia, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Review and approve payroll calculations including salaries, benefits, bonuses, deductions, and statutory contributions Ensure payroll delivery meets strict deadlines and service-level agreements (SLAs) Compliance & Regulatory Oversight Ensure compliance with Colombian labor laws, tax regulations, and social security requirements Stay up to date with DIAN regulations, parafiscal contributions, and statutory reporting Manage payroll audits and provide required documentation for internal and external reviews Lead, mentor, and develop a future possible team of payroll specialists Assign workloads, monitor performance, and ensure SLA adherence Drive a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement Client & Stakeholder Management Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related client inquiries and escalations Build strong relationships with internal teams (HR, Finance, Legal) and external stakeholders Provide expert guidance to clients on payroll processes and compliance in Colombia Process Improvement & Systems Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Support implementation and optimization of payroll systems and HRIS tools Ensure proper documentation of payroll processes, controls, and best practices Reporting & Analytics with the team in Philippines and other regions if required. Prepare and review payroll reports, reconciliations, and financial summaries Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies, trends, and improvement opportunities Ensure accuracy and transparency in all payroll reporting 5+ years of payroll experience in Colombia Proven experience leading or supervising payroll teams Strong knowledge of Colombian labor laws, payroll taxes, and statutory reporting Experience working in EOR, BPO, or multi-client environments is highly preferred Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms Advanced proficiency in Excel or similar tools Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field Fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy Leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and client-facing abilities Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environment High level of integrity and confidentiality
