We’re Hiring: Graduate Cyber Security Analyst | Isle of Man (Relocation Available)


Looking to build your career in cyber security within a high-performing SOC environment?

At Computer Network Defence Ltd (CND), we’re growing our Security Operations Centre and are looking for a Graduate Cyber Security Analyst to join the team.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s passionate about cyber security and wants hands-on experience across real-world threat detection, investigation, and response.


The Role

You’ll play a key role in protecting client environments by:

  • Monitoring and triaging security alerts across SIEM, IDS, firewalls and more
  • Investigating suspicious activity and escalating complex cases to Tier 2/3 analysts
  • Conducting threat and attack analysis using real-time data
  • Supporting vulnerability management and threat intelligence activities
  • Working closely with experienced analysts and security engineers
  • You’ll start with a structured SOC training programme before moving into live operational work


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and investigate SIEM alerts and security events
  • Conduct inbound and outbound attack analysis
  • Validate indicators of compromise (IPs, user agents, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate investigation records and logs
  • Perform daily SOC health and security checks
  • Support alert tuning and false positive reduction
  • Research and share threat intelligence (OSINT)
  • Collaborate with Tier 2/3 analysts and engineers
  • Contribute to improving SOC processes and procedures


What We’re Looking For

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or similar
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Interest in cyber threats, attack methodologies, and security tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Eagerness to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment

Package & Details

  • Location: Isle of Man (relocation support available)
  • Hours: 37.5 per week with shift patterns (days, lates, nights)
  • Clearance: Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance
