About The Role

Are you passionate about supporting older adults to live safely, independently, and with dignity? We are looking for committed social workers to join our dedicated Older People’s Team.

As Social Worker within the Older People’s Community Team, you’ll assess the needs of people aged 65+ and develop personalised care plans that promote independence, wellbeing and quality of life. You’ll work closely with individuals, families and carers, using strengthbased approaches to support people to stay connected to their communities.

You’ll work collaboratively across a wide range of services, including hospitals, community teams and partner organisations, helping ensure smooth and effective support for those in your care. You’ll also contribute to service development and support the delivery of highquality social work practice. Working as part of a supportive and dedicated team, you’ll play a key role in improving outcomes for older people across the Island.

Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month.
