About
Every mission critical project starts with a number, and right now U.S. general contractors cannot find enough estimators who can build that number on MEP-heavy work. If you can read a set of drawings and turn it into a bid that wins, at BuildCorridor we connect you directly with the firms doing this work. For candidates in Canada, Mexico, or Chile, we handle the visa and the move end to end, so you can focus on the estimate.
The work You build bids and budgets before construction starts: quantity takeoffs, material and labor pricing, subcontractor bid evaluation, conceptual estimates for early-stage pursuits, and historical cost data. On mission critical work, the MEP scope is the toughest part to price and the part that matters most.
What we look for
- Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering
- Estimating on data centers, heavy industrial, or pharma
- Real MEP estimating depth, not quantity takeoffs alone
- On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, and conceptual estimating ability
- Comfortable across design-bid-build and design-build delivery
- Strong spoken English
Levels we are hiring for
- Mid Estimator, 5+ years: owns full estimates on mid-sized projects, leads MEP scope pricing
- Senior Estimator, 10+ years: runs bids on $50M+ projects, owns the cost database, presents to clients
- Chief Estimator / Director of Precon, 15+ years: owns the bid pipeline and pursuit strategy
