*Job Summary*

We are looking for a motivated *Design Engineer – Automotive Design* to join our vehicle modification and R&D team in Dubai. You’ll support the design & development of custom vehicles, upfitting, and modification projects from concept to production. This is a great role to grow your skills in automotive CAD, prototyping, and hands-on project execution under senior engineers.

*Key Responsibilities*

*1. Design & 3D Modeling*

• Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings for sheet metal, structural parts, and vehicle components using SOLIDWORKS/AutoCAD.
• Develop concept sketches and basic renders for client approvals and internal reviews.
• Assist in full product lifecycle: concept → prototyping → production → testing.
  
  

*2. Technical Support & Validation*

• Support design feasibility checks, manufacturability reviews, and DFM/DFA principles.
• Help ensure designs comply with UAE/GCC vehicle modification standards.
• Identify design improvements for cost, weight, and fabrication efficiency.
  
  

*3. Documentation & Coordination*

• Prepare BOMs, technical sheets, ECNs, and maintain design revision logs.
• Work closely with fabrication workshops and production teams to resolve design queries on shop floor.
• Assist senior engineers in preparing reports and client technical documentation.
  
  

*4. Learning & Growth*

• Learn vehicle modification standards, prototyping, and testing processes.
• Take ownership of small modules/sub-assemblies under guidance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design templates and standards.
  
  

*Key Requirements*

Must-Have

• B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–3 years experience in automotive CAD design, sheet metal, or vehicle components.
• Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD. Exposure to SketchUp/Geomagic Design is a plus.
• Good understanding of sheet metal design, fabrication processes, and basic structural design.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn DFM/DFA.
  
  

Good To Have

• Exposure to vehicle upfitting, customization, or aftermarket modification projects.
• Knowledge of UAE/GCC compliance requirements for vehicle modifications.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing drawings.

• Open to site visits/workshop visits for design validation.
