Volunteer Position (Animation Team) - Digital Mental Health for the MENA Region Remote | Start: flexible | Duration: ideally at least 3 months | Min. 5 hrs/week | Languages: Arabic & English
About Us
We are an interdisciplinary team developing a digital mental health platform specifically for the MENA region. Our goal is to make culturally relevant, evidence-based psychological support accessible to people in conflict and crisis settings.
As part of this mission, our psychology team creates psychoeducational content focused on mental health, emotions, trauma, stress, self-help strategies, and psychological well-being in a culturally sensitive and accessible way.
To bring this content to life visually, we are looking for creative volunteers to join our Animation Team.
Who We Are Looking For
We are searching for motivated and creative individuals who are interested in animation, Al-generated visuals, storytelling, and digital content creation.
The Animation Team works closely with our psychology/content team. The psychologists develop the psychoeducational concepts, scripts, and educational material, while the animation team transforms these ideas into engaging visual content through Al-generated images, animations, and videos.
You do not need to be an expert to apply. Previous experience in animation, video editing, Al tools, digital art, motion design, or content creation is a strong advantage - but curiosity, creativity, and willingness to learn are just as important.
Students, beginners, creatives, and self-taught individuals are all welcome.
Possible Tasks
• Creating Al-generated visuals and illustrations
• Assisting with animated psychoeducational videos
• Video editing and visual storytelling
• Supporting the creation of Arabic-language animations
• Collaborating closely with the psychology/content team
• Brainstorming creative ways to communicate mental health topics visually
• Experimenting with Al tools for image and video generation

General Requirements
• Good Arabic and English skills (mandatory)
• Interest in mental health, storytelling, creativity, or animation
• Motivation to learn and work independently in a remote setting
• Reliability, openness, and teamwork skills
• Experience with animation, editing, Al image/video tools, or design is a plus, but not required
