Video Production Manager - Short Form Ads (UGC/DTC)

The Video Production Manager (Video Lead) plays a key role in overseeing the production and quality of customer video projects, managing both creative and administrative workflows to ensure consistency, efficiency, and high-level delivery. This role bridges creative direction, project management, and client-focused execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Oversight & Video Ad Review

• Review, critique, and approve 70–120 video projects weekly, ensuring each meets brand, quality, and creative standards.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to editors, balancing customer expectations with creative best practices.
• Oversee two main video formats:
• Trendy Videos – fast-paced, short-form edits with trending music and engaging visuals.
• Selfie Videos – longer talking-head style edits incorporating B-roll, captions, and brand-aligned storytelling.

Team & Project Management

• Manage a team of 2-3 editors by assigning projects, monitoring workloads, and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Track revision cycles by preparing and maintaining a weekly editing report that details revision counts from both customers and internal reviews.
• Prepare detailed video briefs for each client to ensure editors have clear creative direction and project guidelines.
• Act as a point of quality control, ensuring creative output aligns with customer expectations and agency standards.

Operational & Administrative Tasks

• Coordinate daily project assignments, distributing 20–40 videos to editors with completed briefs.
• Complete end-of-day checkouts to summarize progress, pending tasks, and overall production status.
• Maintain clear communication between clients, editors, and account teams to streamline workflows.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong eye for detail and storytelling in short-form video content.
• Ability to manage high-volume creative workflows under tight deadlines.
• Experience in guiding editors with constructive, solution-oriented feedback.
• Solid understanding of social media trends, video pacing, and effective content styles.
• Organizational skills for balancing creative oversight with administrative reporting.
