We are hiring a Tax Administrator to support a growing and client-focused tax compliance team. This is a fully remote role focused on VAT administration, client communication, compliance support, and relationship management.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English. This role requires the ability to manage multiple client cases, work independently, and deliver exceptional client service while ensuring compliance with VAT regulations.
Key Responsibilities
VAT Administration & Compliance Support:
Manage tax and compliance queries for clients from start to finish.
Review client cases, identify issues, and recommend practical next steps.
Maintain accurate records of client advice, actions, and communications.
Handle VAT administration duties and associated paperwork.
Manage VAT-related queries from both internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor case progress and ensure deadlines are met.
Assist with ad-hoc tax and compliance projects as required.
Remain up to date with VAT legislation and regulatory changes.
Client Communication & Relationship Management
Communicate with clients clearly and professionally regarding compliance matters.
Explain risks, delays, penalties, missing information, and potential outcomes.
Build trust and maintain strong relationships with client portfolios.
Provide a high standard of customer service across all client interactions.
Respond to client inquiries in a timely and effective manner.
Support clients throughout the compliance process from initial query to resolution.
Administrative & Team Support
Maintain organized records and documentation across all client accounts.
Support internal teams with VAT-related administrative tasks.
Coordinate information gathering and documentation requests.
Prioritize workloads effectively to meet multiple deadlines.
Collaborate with team members while working independently when required.
Assist with process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a tax, finance, or compliance-related role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and proactively.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within a VAT, tax, accounting, or finance environment.
