We're partnering with a US listed, global cleantech business to hire a Staff Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity requiring deep expertise in multi‑site intercompany reconciliations, fixed assets and the ability to drive month‑end and quarter‑end close under tight timelines. This role is central to maintaining the integrity of group financial data across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. You will take ownership of complex intercompany processes, overseeing reconciliations across several business units, resolving discrepancies, and strengthening controls to support a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment. This role suits a confident, detail‑driven accountant who thrives in a multi‑entity structure and enjoys taking ownership of technically demanding areas.

⚡ What You’ll Do

• Intercompany reconciliations — managing multi‑site, multi‑currency balances, investigating variances, and driving month‑end accuracy.
• Fixed asset management — maintaining the fixed asset register, reviewing capital expenditure, and ensuring correct treatment under UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Month‑end close — journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet integrity across multiple entities.
• Support financial statement prep and external audit requests
• Grow into equity accounting — stock‑based comp entries, tracking, and cross‑functional coordination
• Maintain accurate records aligned with U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal controls
• Process improvement — enhancing controls, streamlining reconciliations, and supporting system optimisation.

🎯 What You Bring

• 3–5 years of GL accounting experience, ideally corporate + Big 10 audit background
• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
• Solid month‑end close and intercompany reconciliation experience
• Strong Excel skills (pivots, lookups, reconciliation techniques)
• ERP experience (NetSuite preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA/CA track is a plus
• High attention to detail, ownership, and accountability
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across the finance team
• Comfortable operating in a SOX‑controlled, public‑company environment
• Curious, proactive, and excited to take on more responsibility over time
