About The Role
We are seeking a strategic and creative Social Media Manager to serve as the primary voice of UpGuard across digital platforms. Reporting directly to the Director of Brand & Content, this role involves developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and YouTube. Your focus will be on elevating UpGuard’s brand presence by humanizing our technical offerings and establishing thought leadership within the cybersecurity industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Campaigns, Product, and Design—to ensure our social media efforts align with broader marketing goals. This high-visibility position requires a blend of creative storytelling, data-driven insights, and technical understanding to foster community engagement, nurture prospects through the sales funnel, and amplify our brand authority globally.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience managing social media for high-growth SaaS or technology companies
- Strong editorial and narrative skills with the ability to maintain a master social media calendar
- Proven project coordination experience across multiple marketing and creative teams
- Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to craft engaging, authoritative copy
- Experience in building and scaling employee advocacy programs
- Proficiency in social analytics tools and translating metrics into actionable strategies
- Creative vision with a keen eye for visual storytelling and briefing creative teams
- Understanding of AI optimization, SEO, and social metadata best practices
- Strategic thinker capable of aligning social media activities with business objectives
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a multichannel social media strategy, focusing on LinkedIn and YouTube for high-growth engagement
- Manage and curate a cohesive social media editorial calendar, ensuring consistent messaging and storytelling
- Optimize content distribution for AI-driven search results, including video content, transcripts, and metadata
- Build and oversee an employee advocacy program to amplify brand reach through internal experts
- Coordinate with Product Marketing and Campaign teams to translate product launches and updates into compelling social campaigns
- Lead the social proof program by collaborating with content and video teams to produce and distribute testimonials, case studies, and success stories
- Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics, using insights to refine strategies and increase organic reach
- Oversee the production of high-quality visual assets, including short-form clips and educational series in collaboration with design and video teams
- Stay informed about social media algorithm changes, emerging platforms, and cybersecurity trends to keep UpGuard at the forefront of industry conversations
