Shopify Growth & E-commerce Marketing Specialist

Overview

We are looking for a proactive and strategic Shopify Growth & E-commerce Marketing Specialist to help scale a sustainable consumer goods brand. This role is ideal for someone who can look beyond individual marketing tasks and take ownership of the complete e-commerce growth strategy — reviewing current performance, identifying opportunities, creating an action plan, and executing improvements.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Shopify experience, understands customer acquisition and conversion optimization, and is comfortable managing initiatives across paid advertising, organic channels, website improvements, and customer retention. The client is looking for someone who can work independently, communicate progress clearly, and recommend data-driven improvements rather than simply following instructions.

Schedule:

• Part Time - 20h per week, flexible at any time but communication based on Central European Summer Time (Client Timezone: CET)

Responsibilities

• Audit the existing Shopify store, marketing activities, and customer journey
• Identify the highest-impact opportunities to increase direct website sales
• Create and execute a realistic e-commerce growth roadmap
• Improve Shopify store performance, conversion rate, and customer trust elements
• Optimize product pages, website structure, and user experience
• Develop customer acquisition strategies across multiple channels
• Plan and manage Google Ads campaigns with a profitability-focused approach
• Support organic social media growth strategies (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
• Recommend and implement customer retention initiatives
• Use AI-powered marketing tools to improve efficiency and results
• Analyze website traffic, campaign performance, and customer behavior
• Track KPIs and provide clear updates and recommendations
• Test new marketing ideas while maintaining a focus on sustainable profitable growth

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in e-commerce growth, Shopify marketing, or digital marketing
• Proven experience working with Shopify stores
• Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO)
• Experience improving product pages and customer journeys
• Experience with Google Ads and performance marketing fundamentals
• Knowledge of organic social media growth strategies
• Strong analytical skills and ability to make recommendations based on data
• Ability to create strategies, not only execute assigned tasks
• Experience working independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent written communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience growing small or early-stage DTC e-commerce brands
• Experience with eco-friendly, lifestyle, wellness, or consumer products
• Amazon marketplace knowledge
• Email marketing experience (Klaviyo or similar tools)
• SEO knowledge
• Meta Ads experience
• Experience using AI tools for marketing, content, or analytics
