Job Purpose As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will focus on identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with Life Sciences companies that need language services, localization, and AI-driven technology solutions. You’ll generate your own pipeline through prospecting, networking, and targeted outreach, while collaborating with business consultants, pre-sales, marketing, and operations to craft solutions that genuinely address client needs. The core of this role is proactive business development and account acquisition. Job Overview Key Responsibilities Drive new business growth by achieving or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals Build and manage your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, and lead generation Develop sales strategies to win new accounts or expand existing ones, lead sales cycle, tailor proposals and close contracts. Identify and engage new Life Sciences clients across pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and CROs Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to align go-to-market efforts and messaging. Represent RWS at events, trade shows, and client meetings to build brand visibility and credibility. Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients to understand their needs and position solutions effectively. Develop trusted relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders Conduct market and competitor research to identify new opportunities and trends Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and forecasting in CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) Skills & Experience Fluent German & English speaking skills Strong consultative sales and relationship-building skills Proven success in winning new business and developing accounts Experience in selling to Life Science sector, such as pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies and CROs Basic understanding or willingness to learn about Life Sciences documentation processes, Linguistic Validation processes Confidence presenting solutions and leading client conversations Structured, organized approach to managing pipeline and sales activities Commercial mindset with strong negotiation skills Experience working with CRM tools such as Salesforce Ability to work remotely with previous success in performing independently.
