Job Purpose The Business Development Representative serves as a front-end outreach role within ROMTech’s business development and fundraising operations. This position is responsible for initiating outbound contact with prospective investors and qualified professionals, conducting preliminary conversations to assess interest, and scheduling qualified prospects for follow-up with senior team members. The role supports scalable and compliant growth by ensuring that only appropriately qualified and engaged individuals advance through the business development pipeline. Key Responsibilities Essential Duties Conduct high-volume outbound calls to company-provided lists of accredited investors, physicians, and other qualified prospects Initiate introductory conversations to present ROMTech’s investment opportunity at a high level Assess prospect interest, alignment, and baseline qualification criteria Schedule and confirm presentation appointments for qualified prospects Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely records of all interactions within CRM systems Track outreach activity including call volume, appointments set, and appointment attendance Collaborate with business development and closing teams to ensure smooth handoff of qualified prospects Follow defined scripts, compliance guidelines, and outreach processes Meet or exceed established performance metrics including dials, contacts, and appointments Other Functions Assist with data hygiene and CRM updates Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and call reviews Provide feedback on outreach strategies and prospect responses Support administrative tasks related to business development initiatives Performs other related duties as assigned to support operational and business needs. Qualifications JOB QUALIFICATIONS Skills and Abilities Required: Strong verbal communication and active listening skills Ability to engage professionally with high-level professionals including investors and physicians Comfortable with high-volume outbound calling and performance metrics Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and communication tools Strong attention to detail in documentation and record-keeping Ability to manage repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy Clear and professional written and verbal communication Preferred: Experience working in investment, financial services, or healthcare environments Familiarity with sales scripts, objection handling, and call frameworks Experience using advanced CRM reporting or tracking tools Work Experience Requirements Required: 5+ years of experience in telesales or appointment-setting roles Proven experience with cold calling high-net-worth individuals, physicians, or executives Preferred: Experience in fundraising, capital raising, or investor relations environments Prior experience in a high-growth or startup organization Education Requirements Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field Physical Demands and Working Conditions The following describes the physical demands and work environment characteristics required to perform the essential functions of this position.
