About the Role: We’re seeking a passionate and experienced People Specialist to help us build and nurture an outstanding employee experience at AirBase. This is an internal hire, supporting and growing our own team as we continue to expand. Key Responsibilities: HR Operations: Manage and continually improve the onboarding, orientation, and offboarding experience Oversee the full employee lifecycle, ensuring HR records, policies, and compliance are always up to date Maintain HRIS data accuracy and provide regular HR reporting to leadership Update employee handbooks and internal documentation to reflect best practices and evolving regulations Talent Acquisition & Recruitment: Collaborate with hiring managers to support internal recruitment, from job postings and candidate screening to interview scheduling and feedback coordination Help drive our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all hiring practices Ensure a smooth, welcoming candidate experience for every applicant Employee Relations & Engagement: Act as a trusted resource for employee questions, feedback, and support Proactively identify opportunities to improve engagement, morale, and team cohesion Conduct stay interviews, exit interviews, and ongoing employee surveys Support managers in addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and fostering a collaborative environment Performance Management & Development: Coordinate regular performance review cycles and help managers deliver clear, constructive feedback Support learning & development initiatives, training sessions, and career growth programs Track HR metrics (e.g., retention, engagement) to inform people strategies Compensation, Benefits & Compliance: Assist with payroll, benefits administration, and leave management Ensure ongoing compliance with local labor laws and company policies Handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and care Culture & Employer Branding: Organize internal events, wellness programs, and employee recognition activities Champion AirBase’s values and mission in all communications and people practices Help create content for internal newsletters and updates Who You Are: 2+ years’ experience in HR, People Operations, or a similar role (startup or tech experience preferred) Solid understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first team environment Passionate about building an inclusive, positive, and high-growth workplace Why Join AirBase?
