About Pulse Labs
Pulse Labs, backed by Google and Amazon, is a leading UX research firm at the forefront of product development. Our mission is to deliver insightful, actionable feedback across every stage of the product lifecycle — from conception through launch and beyond — empowering top tech companies to build groundbreaking products across mobile, smart home, wearables, and automotive.
The Role
At the core of Pulse Labs' research capability is our Pulse Voices Panel. We are seeking a strong, technically fluent, and operationally disciplined Panel Marketing Manager to lead the team responsible for the health and growth of this panel.
This is a high-impact leadership role spanning recruitment planning, community growth, automation, cross-functional execution, and global expansion. You will lead a distributed team of 10 — and growing — across time zones. If you are a structured thinker who combines strategic vision with operational rigor, and who thrives in a fast-moving, globally distributed environment, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Strategic Capability Building
- Lead, mentor, and scale a distributed global team across time zones, establishing clear ownership, performance standards, and growth pathways.
- Develop specialist depth across automation, analytics, paid media, regional strategy, and operational execution as the function expands into new markets.
- Build clear operating processes and standardized workflows that increase clarity, efficiency, and accountability across the team.
- Plan team growth based on pipeline visibility and financial priorities, ensuring readiness for increasingly complex global and marketplace-style recruitment demands.
- Foster a culture of ownership, structured thinking, and proactive problem-solving.
Strategic Marketing & Panel Growth
- Lead strategic and tactical marketing initiatives to strengthen panel acquisition and improve study-level recruitment performance — continuously introducing new channels, experiments, and growth strategies to expand how we attract, qualify, and retain participants across markets.
- Conduct ongoing industry benchmarking to identify emerging trends, tools, and acquisition models, translating insights into actionable approaches for Pulse Voices.
- Develop and diversify panel expansion pathways, including scaling our proprietary panel, partnering with trusted vendors, activating local experts in new geographies, and testing new acquisition and referral models.
- Operate with a structured test-and-learn mindset, ensuring experimentation is measurable, scalable, and aligned with long-term panel growth goals.
Technical & Systems Leadership
- Work confidently alongside Engineering and Product teams, translating Panel Marketing needs into structured, scalable solutions.
- Engage meaningfully in discussions involving recruitment architecture, onboarding flows, automation logic, and system integrations.
- Act as the bridge between marketing operations and technical execution, ensuring tools and infrastructure evolve in line with growth needs.
- Build and maintain advanced tracking systems, dashboards, and workflow engines in Google Sheets and the broader Google Suite to increase visibility, reduce manual intervention, and strengthen operational reliability.
Pulse Voices Community Strategy
- Evolve Pulse Voices from a recruitment database into a structured, engaged B2C community with a clear lifecycle strategy.
- Design participant journeys that extend beyond single-study participation, building loyalty mechanisms and long-term engagement strategies that strengthen retention and brand affinity.
- Strengthen Pulse Voices' brand presence across digital channels.
- Lead the scaling of the Pulse Voices website and ecosystem, positioning the community as a long-term company asset.
- Explore pathways that increase the overall value of the community over time.
Proposal Integration, Lifecycle Ownership & Financial Stewardship
- Participate actively in proposal-stage discussions by providing recruitment feasibility assessments, budget projections, timelines, and risk identification before projects are finalized.
- Represent Panel Marketing across the full research lifecycle — from scoping and recruitment through execution, incentive management, and project closeout — ensuring alignment between commercial commitments and operational capacity.
- Maintain a systems-level understanding of how all teams contribute to study execution; identify inefficiencies and strengthen cross-functional collaboration with UXO, UXR, Program Management, Customer Success, Engineering, and Leadership.
- Adopt an automation-first mindset, systematically reducing manual processes by building scalable tools and structured workflows.
- Own recruitment budgets, monitor acquisition efficiency, forecast pipeline costs, and make informed hiring and vendor decisions aligned with financial priorities.
- Engage directly with leadership on investment, expansion, and scalability decisions, balancing growth with responsible cost management.
Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in panel management, marketing operations, growth marketing, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a people leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead and develop distributed, cross-functional teams across time zones.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to translate data into actionable decisions.
- Experience managing paid and organic acquisition channels, with a test-and-learn approach to optimization.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and the broader Google Suite for tracking, dashboards, and workflow management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
- Comfortable working late India hours to maintain alignment with US-based colleagues and leadership.
