Hii, I'm Debbie, the CEO and co-founder of Pineway, and I'm looking for a marketing assistant who enjoys marketing and wants to help me run it really well. You'll work closely with me and with our social media team, taking the day-to-day marketing execution off my plate so I can stay focused on copy, product, and growth.
Pineway is an all-in-one platform that helps coaches and consultants run their entire business from one place, instead of juggling six different tools. We're a small, ambitious global team, and we're at the most exciting stage of all: early, scrappy, and growing fast.
This is a real role with real ownership and a lot of room to grow as we do. If you love getting things done, you're obsessed with the details, and you light up when your work actually moves a business forward, keep reading.
What This Role Actually Is
You'll own the day-to-day execution of our marketing engine. I set the direction and write the copy. You bring it to life, keep it organized, check it carefully, and help it ship.
Think of yourself as the person who keeps the whole thing humming. I'll hand you something, you'll run with it, and you'll keep me in the loop along the way so I always know where things stand. When something gets in your way, you don't sit on it, you find a way to move it forward. We move fast here, and the best part is that we do it together.
You won't be doing this alone. You'll work side by side with me and with our social media team, who run our social channels including LinkedIn. Your job is to help that whole engine move quickly and stay consistent.
Day To Day, You'll
- Set up, build, check, and send email campaigns and sequences in Customer.io
- Keep our email deliverability healthy and our sender setup clean
- Build and maintain our lists, with clear hot, warm, and cold segmentation based on how people actually behave (opened, clicked, signed up)
- Support our multichannel outbound in Lemlist, across both LinkedIn and email
- Source and organize content ideas and references for LinkedIn, and work hand in hand with our social media team to get posts out quickly and consistently
- Schedule and queue content so we stay steady and never go quiet
- Draft structures and outlines for blog posts from my prompts, ready for me to write the final copy
- Track and report the numbers that matter: open rates, click rates, replies, signups, and what's working in our A/B tests
- Keep our marketing workspace in Notion organized so we always know what's live, what's queued, and what's next
- Coordinate with our engineer and designer when a task needs them, bringing clear, specific asks so things move fast
The Tools You'll Work In
You Don't Need To Know All Of These On Day One, But You Should Be Comfortable In Marketing Tools And Genuinely Fast At Learning New Ones
- Email and lifecycle: Customer.io, Loops, or similar
- Outbound: Lemlist or similar
- Organization: Notion and Google Workspace
- Communication: Slack, where our team works together every day
- A plus: any familiarity with product analytics or event tracking, so you understand how behavior data feeds our messaging
Who I'm Looking For
I need someone who:
- Enjoys marketing and cares about getting it right. You don't have to be in love with every single task, but you're a little obsessed with doing the work well. You like getting the details right, and you always want to get better.
- Is proactive and self-directed. You don't wait for a to-do list. You can see what needs doing and you drive it. If you ever run low on tasks, you come with ideas, not just "what's next?"
- Unblocks yourself the smart way. When you're stuck, you don't go quiet. You figure out who can help, our engineer for anything technical, our designer for anything visual, and you ask a clear, specific question with the context already included. You make it easy for people to help you fast.
- Brings the why. When you suggest a new tool or a different approach, you bring the reasoning with it: the tradeoff, the cost, who it affects. You make it easy for me to say yes quickly.
- Loves the details. You triple-check before you hit send, because a typo, a broken link, or a wrong segment can reach a lot of people at once. Catching those little things before they go out is something you take real pride in.
- Moves fast and protects the quality. You can get a lot done in a day without things falling through the cracks. You've learned that a careful check at the end is exactly what lets you move quickly with confidence, so speed and care work together for you rather than pulling against each other.
- Is reliable. You show up consistently and you communicate clearly about your availability. When you say it's done, it's done, and it's done well.
- Is genuinely kind and good to grow with. Work takes up so much of our lives, and I want to spend mine alongside people who are warm, considerate, and dependable. You're hungry to learn, generous with your teammates, and someone people are glad to work with.
Specifically
- 2+ years in a marketing, growth, or marketing-ops role (startup experience is a big plus)
- Hands-on experience with email tools (Customer.io experience is a bonus, not a dealbreaker)
- Excellent written English, warm and clear, like this post
- Reliable internet and a proper workspace
- Available Monday to Friday, with at least 3 to 4 hours of daily overlap with Dubai working hours so we can stay in sync (Nigeria and the Philippines both work well for this)
A Few Honest Things About Fit
A few things I want to share openly, because the right fit really matters for both of us:
- For now, the copy and the big-picture strategy are mine to hold. You'll spin up first drafts, and I'll always want to look at anything customer-facing before it goes live. If you love bringing someone else's vision to life and making it shine, you'll feel right at home here. If you're really hoping to own the copy or the strategy yourself, this probably isn't the seat for you, and that's completely okay.
- This role moves fast and a lot of small things matter, so it's built for someone who enjoys staying close to the work and catching the little details. If you prefer a slower or more hands-off pace, you might find this one a lot.
- I'll trust you with a great deal, so I'll be leaning on you to stay reliable and to keep me in the loop. And if life happens, just talk to me. I'm very human about that.
If you love clean systems, you genuinely enjoy making someone's life easier, and you take pride in work that's accurate and on time, I think you're going to love it here.
What Success Looks Like
This is what success will look like in the first 1-3 months:
- Our email campaigns and sequences are built, checked, and going out on time in Customer.io, and I'm not the one catching the errors.
- Our lists are cleanly segmented by how people behave, so the right message reaches the right person.
- Our Lemlist outbound is running across LinkedIn and email, and I never have to wonder where it stands.
- We have a steady flow of LinkedIn content ideas, and you and the social team are shipping posts quickly and consistently.
- Deliverability is healthy, and our numbers are tracked, so we always know what's working and what to try next.
- When something needs our engineer or designer, you've already gone to them with a clear ask and kept it moving.
Put simply: I trust that it's being handled, the work feels calm rather than chaotic, and we have real momentum because you see what's needed and drive it.
The Details
- Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Hours: Your own timezone is fine, as long as you overlap at least 3 to 4 hours with Dubai working hours each day
- Compensation: $500/month USD, with real room to grow as we do
- Location: Fully remote
- Start date: As soon as we find the right person
How To Apply
If you read this and thought "this is exactly the kind of work I'm great at," here's what I'd love to see:
- A short Loom video (2 to 3 minutes) telling me who you are, and one specific example of a marketing or ops task you owned from start to finish, plus the result.
- Your resume or portfolio. I want to see your real experience and the tools you've worked with.
- One quick answer: walk me through, in a few sentences, how you'd set up and double-check an email campaign before it goes live, so it goes out clean and lands well even when it's reaching a lot of people.
I'm excited to chat with you, if you just read this and though, "Oh that's me!"
Talk soon,
Debbie
