Job Title: Contracting Analyst

• Location: Chatham, ON (Hybrid-2days remote 3days in office)

• Duration: 12+ Months Contract -Possible Extension/Conversion

• Pay Rate: CAD$25-28.85/hr on T4

Position Summary

The Business Analyst I will support the Large Volume Contracting, Support & Compliance team by preparing and managing contracts for Distribution and Direct Purchase markets. This role works closely with multiple internal departments and supports contract administration, customer inquiries, reporting, documentation management, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare contracts for Distribution and Direct Purchase markets.
• Analyze contract data and create contract packages.
• Track contract approvals, distribution, customer receipt, and execution.
• Maintain records, communications, and contract documentation.
• Respond to customer inquiries related to agreements, policies, billing, and gas management functions.
• Investigate and resolve issues using internal systems and escalate unresolved matters when necessary.
• Run and analyze reports to support contract management activities.
• Identify and support process improvement opportunities.
• Participate in testing and validation of system changes.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Law, Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience-related to law OR paralegal.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with database concepts, query tools, and business applications.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong analytical, investigative, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with contract administration.
• Experience with customer billing or financial systems.
• Working knowledge of SAP, WEBi, ConTrax, Enerline, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, and Word.
• Customer service experience.
• Experience within the natural gas or utilities industry.
