• On-call support required for critical Priority 1 (P1) and Priority 2 (P2) incidents outside regular business hours

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced L2 Network Engineer to provide advanced operational support across network, cloud, identity, and security platforms within a multi-site enterprise environment. The successful candidate will serve as a key escalation point for infrastructure incidents, ensuring stability, availability, and performance of critical systems while contributing to documentation, process improvement, and environment stabilization initiatives.

This role requires strong hands-on expertise in Cisco Meraki networking, AWS networking, Microsoft 365, and identity management technologies. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently in environments with limited documentation and can effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

Network Operations & Support

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
• Support Cisco Meraki environments, including SD-WAN, wireless, routing, switching, and branch connectivity.
• Investigate and resolve network-related incidents involving circuits, gateways, hardware, and connectivity services.
• Coordinate with internet service providers and third-party vendors when necessary.
• Ensure network performance, availability, and reliability across multiple locations.

Incident & Escalation Management

• Serve as an escalation point for Priority 1 (P1) and Priority 2 (P2) incidents.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and coordinate resolution activities across teams and vendors.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain clear communication throughout incident lifecycles.

Cloud & Identity Administration

• Support Microsoft Entra ID and Okta identity platforms.
• Manage user accounts, access requests, MFA configurations, and identity-related troubleshooting.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online services.
• Support AWS and Azure networking components, including VPN connectivity and cloud infrastructure troubleshooting.

Security Operations Support

• Assist with administration and troubleshooting of security technologies.
• Support endpoint protection, email security, secure web access, and policy management.
• Participate in security investigations and remediation efforts.
• Follow security best practices and compliance requirements.

Infrastructure Stabilization & Improvement

• Identify infrastructure risks, misconfigurations, and operational gaps.
• Assist with remediation of end-of-life hardware and aging infrastructure.
• Recommend improvements to enhance performance, security, and reliability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the environment.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, standard operating procedures, and configuration records.
• Document network diagrams, access requirements, troubleshooting guides, and escalation procedures.
• Capture institutional knowledge to improve operational readiness and support efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Systems Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting AWS networking, VPNs, and cloud connectivity.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience administering Okta Identity and Access Management solutions.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, wireless networking, and SD-WAN technologies.
• Experience supporting enterprise environments with multiple branch locations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
• Familiarity with CrowdStrike Falcon, Mimecast, and Zscaler.
• Experience with Jamf and PrinterLogic.
• Knowledge of ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus or similar ITSM platforms.
• Experience supporting identity migration or modernization projects.
• Exposure to infrastructure architecture and security engineering practices.
