Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Korean–English Medical Interpreters for a full-time, remote Over-the-Phone Interpreting (OPI) and Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) position. This role supports medical appointments, consultations, and urgent healthcare interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, impartial interpretation between Korean-speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare providers

• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations

• Apply strong knowledge of medical terminology and interpreter ethics

• Handle sensitive and urgent medical calls with professionalism

• Remain available during assigned shifts and participate in quality reviews or team check-ins as required

Candidate Qualifications

• Professional fluency in Korean and English

• Minimum 1 year of professional medical interpreting experience (OPI or VRI)

• Strong understanding of medical terminology, ethics, and confidentiality standards

• High school diploma or equivalent (higher education preferred)

• Excellent listening, memory retention, and note-taking skills

• Comfortable working remotely and managing varied call types

• Must successfully pass a language proficiency assessment and background check

▸ A solid grey background for video calls
