Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer to spearhead the modernization and stabilization of our core operational platform. This critical role focuses on migrating our legacy infrastructure automation from Puppet to Ansible, while optimizing the Intex platform that powers our SPG and broader SANCAP processes.

A primary strategic goal is to mitigate operational risk by thoroughly documenting the ecosystem and transitioning it from a single-resource support model into a resilient, team-supported structure. Additionally, you will architect and prepare our environment, data pipelines, and scheduled processes for upcoming ARDA integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the migration, design, and implementation of infrastructure code from legacy Puppet manifests to modular Ansible playbooks, roles, and Jinja2 templates.
• Stabilize and optimize the current Intex platform setup to ensure high availability and performance for critical SPG and SANCAP business processes.
• Author comprehensive technical documentation to successfully transition operations away from a vulnerable, single-resource support model.
• Manage and refine SQL environments, backend data pipelines, and batch processing to lay the operational groundwork for future ARDA system integration.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Deep, hands-on experience with Ansible ecosystem components including playbooks, custom roles, dynamic inventories, and Jinja2 templating. Familiarity with Ansible Tower or AWX is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully executing structural configuration management migrations, specifically moving environments from Puppet to Ansible.
• Strong foundation in Linux/Unix administration combined with advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Shell to automate system workflows.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, data integration workflows, relational database environments (SQL), and the management of scheduled batch processing jobs.
• Fully fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills required for drafting technical documentation and collaborating across engineering teams.
