The opportunity

As a HR Shared Services Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless employee experience across the full lifecycle. You'll support the execution of global HR processes, drive operational excellence, and partner closely with HR Business Partners and cross‑functional teams to bring scalable people strategies to life.

With a strong focus on consistency, automation, and continuous improvement, you'll help ensure HR processes are efficient, compliant, and centred around the employee experience, while supporting a global, multi‑country workforce.

This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, based in Hungary, either fully remote or hybrid based from our Szeged office.

Role responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for HR inquiries, resolving employee and manager queries accurately and efficiently
• Manage HR cases and shared inboxes, ensuring timely updates, documentation, and resolution within service‑level expectations
• Execute core HR transactions including onboarding, offboarding, job changes, and employee data updates with accuracy and compliance
• Provide operational support across regions, bringing strong knowledge of global HR practices and deep expertise in Hungarian employment processes; exposure to additional country frameworks is highly valued
• Follow established workflows while proactively identifying risks, exceptions, and opportunities for process improvement
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including workflow enhancements, documentation updates, and automation opportunities
• Partner with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, HR Technology, Payroll, and other stakeholders to deliver a coordinated employee experience
• Create and maintain HR documentation, process guides, and knowledge articles to support scalable service delivery
• Provide operational insights to support global HR programmes, ensuring processes are practical, efficient, and employee‑centred

Do you have what we are looking for?

Skills & expertise

• Proven experience in HR operations, supporting end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes, ideally within a global or matrixed organisation
• Experience working in a shared services or service delivery environment is preferred
• Strong understanding of Hungarian employment practices, with the ability to operate effectively in a global, multi‑country context; exposure to additional country frameworks is an advantage
• Confident using HR systems, data, and process documentation, with an interest in digital tools, automation, or HR technology improvements
• Strong problem‑solving skills, able to bring clarity and structure to complex or ambiguous situations
• Capable of balancing day‑to‑day operational delivery with an understanding of broader HR priorities
• Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Curious and proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset and a strong focus on employee experience
• C1 level English proficiency, in both written and verbal communication
