The successful candidate will bring strong leadership capability, a track record of winning complex tenders, and sector experience in construction or engineering consultancy This is a leadership role responsible for leading bid strategy, managing and developing the bid team, improving win rates, and embedding best-practice bidding processes. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor and develop the bid team Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture Allocate resources across multiple concurrent bids Bid Strategy & Governance Develop and implement winning bid strategies aligned to business goals Lead bid/no-bid decisions and oversee complex submissions Ensure consistent messaging, positioning and review processes Bid Delivery & Quality Oversee end-to-end bid delivery across the business Ensure submissions are compliant, competitive and client-focused Drive continuous improvement in tools, templates and processes Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with senior leadership, technical teams and operations Secure high-quality inputs and support pre-tender positioning activities Performance & Improvement Track bid performance, win rates and pipeline conversion Lead post-tender reviews and implement lessons learned Continuously improve bid quality and knowledge sharing Essential Requirements 7+ years’ bid management experience, including leadership responsibility Proven track record delivering successful public sector and construction/engineering tenders Experience managing complex bids and multi-disciplinary teams Strong commercial awareness Strong knowledge of OJEU/ETenders and public procurement processes Background in construction, engineering, infrastructure, or the built environment Strong leadership, commercial awareness and bid writing skills Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and deadline management Relevant degree and APMP qualification desirable Experience with CRM/bid management systems and digital collaboration tools preferred What We Can Offer You ORS is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive company culture.
