Join an International Team Supporting Payroll Across Europe

We are looking for an experienced Global Payroll Lead to join our international operations team and support payroll activities across multiple European countries.

This is a fully remote opportunity for a payroll professional who thrives in international environments and enjoys working with cross-border processes, external providers, and global stakeholders.

You will play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across a diverse multi-country payroll landscape.

What You Will Do

Multi-Country Payroll Operations

• Coordinate and support payroll activities across multiple European countries.
• Ensure payroll processes are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with local regulations.
• Review payroll outputs and support payroll quality assurance activities.
• Monitor payroll deadlines, statutory requirements, and operational controls.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with external payroll providers and local accounting partners.
• Build strong relationships with HR, Finance, and operational stakeholders.
• Support employees with payroll-related queries and issue resolution.
• Coordinate payroll escalations and follow-up activities when required.

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Support payroll process standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in payroll system enhancements and operational projects.
• Maintain accurate payroll documentation and audit-ready records.
• Help ensure compliance with payroll regulations, policies, and internal controls.

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

✔ 5+ years of payroll experience within international or multi-country environments

✔ Strong understanding of European payroll operations and compliance requirements

✔ Experience working with payroll vendors, payroll bureaus, or external providers

✔ Good understanding of payroll systems and payroll administration processes

✔ Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

✔ Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

✔ Fluent English

Preferred Qualifications

⭐ Experience supporting payroll activities across multiple European countries

⭐ Exposure to payroll taxes, statutory payments, and regulatory reporting

⭐ Experience participating in payroll transformation or process improvement initiatives

⭐ Experience working within multinational or shared services environments

⭐ Knowledge of HRIS, payroll platforms, or workforce management systems
