As a rapidly growing global nonprofit with a large network of entrepreneurs, professionals and students, we strive to automate manual decision-making processes with smart algorithms and use advanced data analytics techniques to understand our global impact. The algorithms and analysis we do are either translated into powerful decision making or incorporated into our web apps by developers across the world. We are looking for a Global Analytics and Algorithm Manager to oversee our analytics and algorithm design projects. You may also find out more about Technology at BfE here . Responsibilities Ideation. Understand data analytics and algorithm design needs from different divisions in BfE, and build your own vision around what matters and what projects can be beneficial to the organisation. Work with student directors to design detailed project plans to be distributed to the student chapters. Detailed project management is not required as we have dedicated project leads for each project. Training and evaluation. Collect feedbacks about projects and understand what can be improved. Design and organise training sessions for developers and technical advisory associates (see Tech@BfE page on what is Technical Advisory), leveraging on BfE’s global network of professionals and corporate partners or even forming partnerships yourself on behalf of BfE. Requirements Enthusiasm and commitment to BfE’s cause Passion in data analytics, algorithm design and machine learning in the context of real-life business needs Flexible and always keen to stay up-to-date with latest tools and practices in data analytics and algorithm design Highly organised with excellent planning skills Min. 2 years of coding experience. You must be experienced with common analytics tools in Python, and experiences in data analytics, algorithm design and machine learning are essential. A strong mathematical background is highly desirable. This role is open to graduate students and working professionals. Exceptions can be made for extremely outstanding undergraduates.
