In this freelance role, you will review restaurant menu items written in French or Dutch and classify them using a standardized taxonomy in Americanized English. Your cultural knowledge and linguistic skills will directly help enhance food category recognition across diverse global markets. What You Will Do Read & Review: Analyze each menu item's name, category, and description written in French or Dutch. Confirm Context: Check the item photo (if available) to visually verify the food type. Classify (Dish Label): Assign the most accurate Dish Label from an English-language taxonomy dropdown using keywords like "pasta" or "grilled chicken". Categorize (Course Label): Select the appropriate Course Label in English (e.g., Appetizer, Main Course, Side Dish, Dessert, Beverage, Other). Add Contextual Notes: Provide a brief note for any items that seem unclear, ambiguous, or unusual to ensure no data row is left blank. Project Details Status: ASAP Duration: 1–2 hours total (up to a maximum of 10 hours) Job Type: Freelance Location: Remote (Must be based in Belgium) Language: French/Dutch & English Comprehension Pay Rate: 20.50 $ (per hour) What We’re Looking For Linguistic Background: Native French or Dutch speaker currently based in Belgium.
