This opportunity is for readily or partially qualified individuals working in finance, who are wanting to kick start their very own financial planning business. This is a one year programme aimed at people already holding, or part way to achieving, their Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. The programme is designed to support you in the transition from your current role, to a self-employed role working for yourself and building your very own client bank. You may be diploma qualified and currently working in a paraplanning firm or advice firm, you're probably working in a support role in finance, but not yet giving advice, and this is something you aspire to do. Building your own business Building and expanding your business and your client bank, including Marketing & PR activity. Full training & support is provided for this. Social media marketing Managing your social media, reaching out to groups & communities to generate your own leads. Client meetings Learn how to take your clients through our 5 meeting financial planning process. First by observing, then by assisting, then running your very own client meetings. Coaching them to make better financial decisions. Compliance processes Learn how to embed the necessary processes so that your practice meets the regulated requirements. Assist the adviser in providing regulated advice and produce compliant suitability reports. The Ideal candidate will be... Readily or partially qualified Already diploma qualified and potentially already working in finance, but hoping for some mentoring to set up on their own. A people person A gifted communicator who is able to easily articulate information, and who is energised by interactions with others and enjoys building long term relationships. Collaborator Willing to work collaboratively within our community of female first financial planners, where we share resources and knowledge to help each other in growing our businesses. Equipment You will need a laptop with a working camera & microphone, as well as a printer, and a scanner. You will also need a working internet connection, but that goes without saying! Back office systems There will be some ongoing costs and licenses that you will need to pay for, such as cashflow modelling systems and some back office stuff.
