About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a growing data team on a 12-month B2B contract. This is a fully remote opportunity for professionals based in Poland who are passionate about building scalable data solutions and working with modern cloud-based data platforms.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and data processing solutions while collaborating with international stakeholders in both German and English.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Build and maintain robust data solutions using modern Big Data technologies.
• Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets.
• Develop data processing applications using Python and PySpark.
• Create and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Contribute to data modeling and data warehousing initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, performance, security, and reliability across data platforms.
• Work within cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with Big Data technologies.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Solid background in:
• Data Warehousing
• Data Pipelines
• Distributed Data Processing
• Software Engineering principles
• Data Modeling concepts
• Experience working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Hands-on experience with at least one public cloud platform (Azure or AWS).
• Very good German language skills (spoken and written) – mandatory.
• Very good English language skills (spoken and written).

Nice to Have

• Experience working in agile environments.
• Exposure to modern data architectures and cloud-native solutions.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
