Position Summary: Axonius Federal Systems is seeking a technically hands‑on Cyber Physical Assets Engineer to support device research, cloud platform operations, and signal development within a FedRAMP‑compliant environment. You will operate at the intersection of exploratory technical research and disciplined engineering execution, contributing Python‑based parsers and enrichment logic, supporting AWS infrastructure, and improving platform reliability and visibility across OT and IoT environments. Key Responsibilities: Reverse‑engineer and analyze cyber‑physical asset metadata using Python, internal tooling, packet analysis, and hands‑on experimentation. Develop and maintain Python‑based parsers, classifiers, and enrichment logic to translate research into production‑ready signals. Partner with research, engineering, and product teams to operationalize discoveries into scalable, maintainable platform capabilities. Identify gaps in device coverage, prioritize research efforts, and drive investigations from concept through implementation. Support FedRAMP‑compliant AWS infrastructure and platform reliability, including secure deployments and operations across core services such as CloudFormation, EC2, S3, and VPC, as well as monitoring, incident response, documentation, and CI/CD hardening. Minimum Requirements: 3+ years of professional experience in a technical engineering, research, or systems role, including hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, VPC, and CloudFormation Strong proficiency in Python, with hands‑on experience building, debugging, and maintaining production‑quality code. Experience conducting technical investigation or research (e.g., protocol analysis, data parsing, device fingerprinting, systems troubleshooting).
