Job Description This is a remote position. Blue Beyond is a fast-paced, Management Consulting (B2B professional services) firm looking for intermittent, Graphic Design support for digital publications and PowerPoint/Presentation design. The ideal person for this role will have demonstrated expertise in applying established brand guidelines to a variety of internal-facing, executive-level, business-focused collateral. Examples below. This is a contract role that will be paid hourly for ad hoc services rendered. If there is mutual interest after establishing a strong working relationship, we may be able to guarantee a minimum number of hours per month. To apply, submit your resume and digital portfolio. What you’ll do ● As directed and on a project-by-project basis, you will update, design, iterate, and/or execute graphic design materials. o Deliverables may include interactive PDFs, PowerPoint presentations, One Pagers, eBooks, intranet sites, print materials, event collateral, and infographics etc. ● Source or create images to enhance audience engagement and understanding of intended messages. ● Provide design concept options that effectively communicate complex business ideas. ● Communicate and collaborate with Consulting, Design, and Marketing team members to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality visual content. ● Work under time constraints. ● Ensure all designs adhere to designated brand and style guidelines. What you bring to the work ● An understanding of business communication and visuals and how they are used (e.g., PowerPoints as a means for strategic communication as opposed to highly visual PowerPoints for keynotes, documentation, or facilitation). ● Ability to use color and design to help an audience best understand or intake information presented. ● Strong page layout / visual communications skills to ensure publications are accessible, clear, and connected to the larger story. ● Keen eye for detail – you strive to ensure materials are consistent, clear, aligned to brand, free of formatting errors and delivered on time. ● Ability to follow written and/or verbal direction to incorporate requested updates. ● Audience-centered thinking – you create materials with your specific audience in mind. Requirements ● Demonstrated design experience in a B2B context. ● Ability to effectively communicate in English. ● Must be proficient in: o Adobe Creative Suite (with focus on InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) o Microsoft PowerPoint o Google Slides ● Must have knowledge of: o Microsoft Word ● Must have diverse digital portfolio containing a wide variety of design examples, demonstrating your ability to create and work within the programs and formats listed above. ● Quick-turn design support within established working agreements. ● Knowledge of the People side of business a plus. ● E-learning, motion graphics, SharePoint and/or video experience is a plus. ● Experience in HTML, CSS, and Javascript is a plus.
