Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are looking for a mid-level AI & ERP Developer with solid hands-on experience in backend engineering, ERP module integration, and practical use of AI tools in day-to-day development. This is a contributor role with growth potential: you will participate in building and maintaining enterprise integrations, implement AI-assisted workflows, and collaborate with the architecture team on platform development.
The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of ERP concepts, is comfortable developing with backend technologies, and has started incorporating AI coding tools into their workflow. Availability to travel to Panama City when required is a firm condition of this role.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Architecture ****&**** Integration**
- Participate in the design and development of ERP platform components and integration layers.
- Implement REST API integrations across different systems (ERP modules, databases, third-party services).
- Support data migration and ETL processes between relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Follow and contribute to architecture guidelines defined by the technical lead.
**AI-Assisted Development**
- Use AI coding tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate development, documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Implement basic automation workflows using tools such as n8n or similar platforms.
- Explore and apply LLM-based integrations in enterprise contexts under technical guidance.
- Stay current with evolving AI development tools and propose practical applications.
**Backend Development ****&**** ERP Modules**
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, Python, or PHP.
- Implement and integrate ERP business modules: accounting, invoicing, inventory, payroll, or similar.
- Write clean, testable code following team standards; participate in code reviews.
- Support electronic invoicing integrations and transactional workflows.
**Cloud ****&**** Infrastructure (Basic)**
- Work within existing cloud environments (OCI, AWS) under the guidance of the infrastructure team.
- Use Docker for local development and deployment tasks.
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or equivalent tools.
- Follow operational procedures for production deployments and environment management.
**Collaboration ****&**** Delivery**
- Work collaboratively within an agile team using tools like Jira, ClickUp, or Notion.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and delivery updates clearly to the team.
- Participate in planning sessions and contribute to sprint execution.
- **Be available for occasional travel to Panama City for team meetings or client engagements.**
Requirements
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in backend software development.
- Working knowledge of at least one ERP platform or enterprise business module (invoicing, inventory, accounting, payroll, etc.).
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages: Java, Node.js, Python, or PHP.
- Practical experience using AI coding tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Cursor) in daily development work.
- Basic database skills: MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server; ability to write queries, migrations, and integrations.
- Familiarity with REST API development and consumption.
- Basic understanding of cloud environments (OCI, AWS) and Docker for development.
- **Availability and willingness to travel to Panama City, Panama when required.**
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with n8n, Make (Integromat), or similar workflow automation tools.
- Exposure to Oracle environments or Oracle APEX.
- Basic frontend skills with React or similar (for internal dashboards or admin panels).
- Experience with electronic invoicing systems (DIAN, SAT, or similar).
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions or any CI/CD tooling.
- Interest in AI agents, MCP servers, or local LLM deployments (Ollama, etc.).
- Experience working in remote, distributed teams.
