About Us
We design, build, and manage digital and AI-powered products for technology and social impact ventures. We choose work that combines meaningful human needs, passionate teams, and business viability. Most of our clients are based in the U.S.
We operate as a product studio that lives at the intersection of business consulting and technology. Our clients are mid-market operating companies. The products we build for them are usually internal: tools and AI workflows that make their operations work better, not software they sell to a market.
What We Value
- Makers first culture: We prioritize building, shipping, and learning over excessive process.
- Excellence and craft: Discipline, care, and pride in high-quality work.
- Ownership and autonomy: Able to independently drive initiatives end-to-end while collaborating closely with stakeholders.
- AI-native mindset: We treat AI as a core part of how we think, build, and deliver, not an add-on.
- Continuous learning: Curiosity and self-directed growth.
- Social impact: Enthusiasm for projects that improve people's lives.
The Role
Today, every client engagement at Telos depends on our founder or an engineering lead to watch the conversations, set priorities, and keep the client confident. As we grow, that doesn't scale. The Engagement Manager exists so that each engagement has one accountable owner.
You manage engagements, not people. You are the person the client calls, the person who knows what matters this week, and the person who makes sure the pod is building the right thing. Most of our engagements are with mid-market companies where the work is closer to consulting than to classic product management: the users are the client's own teams, and success is measured in their operations, not in market metrics. We also work with founder-led, venture-backed startups building products for external users, and there the same ownership flexes into product management: roadmap, user feedback, and product metrics. In both cases, understanding how the client's business actually runs, and where AI workflows create real leverage in it, is the core skill.
This role fits someone with a consulting or professional services background who wants to own client outcomes end to end, with a clear path into leading technology strategy work.
What You'll Do
Client Ownership
- Act as the single accountable owner for one or more client engagements: communications, priorities, and day-to-day relationship.
- Learn how each client's business operates, where the pain is, and what is worth building.
- Turn ambiguous client pain points into well-framed problems and practical internal tools.
- On startup engagements, lead product definition and prioritization based on business objectives, product metrics, and user feedback.
- Earn the client's trust by being honest about tradeoffs, including when not to build.
AI-Enabled Solutions
- Identify where AI workflows create real leverage for a client and where they do not, and bring a grounded point of view on what is worth adopting.
- Shape and prototype AI-enabled tools with the pod (LLM-powered assistants, automation, agentic workflows).
- Run lightweight evaluations to measure and improve AI solution quality.
- Use AI as a standard part of your own work: research, synthesis, analysis, drafting, and documentation.
Delivery
- Translate priorities into clear execution plans with design and engineering.
- Keep the pod aligned on scope, surface risks early, and resolve blockers before they reach the client.
- Keep engagement documentation current and usable.
What Success Looks Like
In your first 90 days you own the communications and priorities for one active engagement, ship at least one AI-enabled improvement the client uses in their operations, and shadow a technology strategic assessment. Within a year, the goal is for you to co-lead assessments with our founder. That is the growth path: Engagement Manager, then Engagement Lead, then leading strategy work directly with clients.
Required to Apply

- You can point to a client engagement or product you drove end to end.
- Demonstrated fluency with AI tools and workflows, and a grounded understanding of what current AI can and cannot do.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with the judgment to frame the right problem, not just execute the task.
- Clear, structured communication with senior stakeholders.
