Our client is looking for an experienced Accounting Lead who can independently manage accounting operations, strengthen financial processes, and partner closely with leadership teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

This role is ideal for professionals who combine strong technical accounting expertise with operational ownership and process improvement capabilities.

Role Overview

As an Accounting Lead, you will oversee end-to-end accounting operations while ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards. You will own month-end close processes, financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting workflows while acting as a strategic accounting partner to leadership teams.

Beyond execution, we’re looking for someone who can identify gaps, improve workflows, and help build scalable accounting infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the full month-end and year-end close process
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Handle accruals, prepaid schedules, reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet reviews
• Manage multi-entity accounting and intercompany reconciliations
• Support revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and lease accounting where applicable
• Ensure accounting accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls
• Investigate financial discrepancies and provide actionable resolutions
• Build and improve SOPs, accounting workflows, and close processes
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, Payroll, and Leadership teams
• Support audit preparation and external auditor requests
• Drive ERP optimization and accounting process automation initiatives
• Mentor junior accounting professionals where applicable

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience managing full-cycle accounting independently
• Strong month-end close and financial reporting experience
• Experience working with US-based companies or international stakeholders
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to overlap with US business hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Startup or high-growth company experience
• Multi-entity accounting exposure
• Public accounting background is a plus
• Experience in SaaS, E-commerce, Fintech, or CPG industries
• Experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606) and lease accounting (ASC 842)
• Prior process improvement or automation experience
