Academic instruction is delivered via adaptive software. Your domain is what technology cannot provide: guiding students through challenge, facilitating mastery-driven life skill sessions, and maintaining a standard where 90% satisfaction and 100% goal achievement represent baseline expectations, not aspirational targets. Your daily work divides into two core functions. First: structured one-hour life skill sessions covering public speaking, concentration, feedback exchange—delivered through hands-on application and validated by mastery assessments students must pass to progress. Second: motivational coaching sessions analyzing Coachbot data, aligning with individual student objectives, and deploying developmentally appropriate motivators (campus currency, performance rankings) to overcome moments of disengagement. Both functions are quantified. Satisfaction metrics and platform progression rates define coaching effectiveness—not volume of material presented. Career progression is defined clearly. High performers transition into senior coaching positions, leading teams while maintaining direct student cohorts. What You Will Be Doing Facilitating one-hour life skill sessions addressing public speaking, focus training, and feedback dynamics, structured around hands-on projects and concluded with mastery assessments (Test2Pass) that students must successfully complete before advancing Conducting daily motivational coaching: analyzing Coachbot performance data, connecting with each student's individual objectives, and applying age-appropriate motivational tools to overcome resistance and achieve weekly progression benchmarks Tailoring coaching methods using generative AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to customize sessions according to distinct student profiles and learning behaviors Preparing for each session by reviewing provided curriculum and lesson frameworks to ensure delivery is engaging, playbook-aligned, and highly rated by students Monitoring satisfaction data and platform advancement indicators, modifying your coaching strategy when metrics reveal stagnation or disengagement What You Won’t Be Doing Teaching academic subjects, providing tutoring, or clarifying curriculum content — students progress through self-directed applications; you provide coaching and motivation, not direct instruction Experiencing pressure to advance students who have not demonstrated mastery: standards remain consistent regardless of proximity to passing Handling classroom discipline issues: you work with gifted, self-motivated learners; behavior management is not your primary function Creating curriculum or lesson materials independently: structured playbooks and content already exist; execution quality is your responsibility, not content design Evaluating written work, processing administrative forms, or participating in meetings unrelated to measurable student outcomes Youth Program Director Key Responsibilities Guide gifted K-12 students in mastering life competencies and progressing toward academic objectives at gt.school's Georgetown location.
