Your workday divides into two primary activities. First: structured one-hour life skill workshops covering public speaking, focus, and feedback exchange—hands-on, project-driven sessions concluded with mastery assessments that students must pass or repeat. Second: targeted motivation sessions where you analyze Coachbot data, align with individual student objectives, and deploy age-appropriate motivators (campus currency, performance leaderboards) to overcome moments when students resist effort. Both functions are quantified. Student satisfaction ratings and application progress rates indicate coaching effectiveness—not content volume delivered. Career progression is clearly defined. High performers advance to senior coaching positions, leading teams while maintaining their own student cohort. What You Will Be Doing Facilitating one-hour life skill workshops addressing public speaking, focus, and feedback skills through hands-on, project-based delivery, with each session concluding in a mastery assessment (Test2Pass) that students must complete successfully to progress Conducting daily motivation sessions: analyzing Coachbot performance data, aligning with each student's individual objectives, and applying developmentally appropriate incentives to overcome resistance and achieve weekly progress benchmarks Customizing your coaching methodology with generative AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to tailor sessions according to individual student characteristics and learning behaviors Preparing for each session by reviewing curriculum materials and lesson frameworks to ensure delivery is engaging, playbook-aligned, and generates strong student ratings Monitoring satisfaction metrics and app progression data, then modifying your methods when results indicate students aren't progressing or remaining engaged What You Won’t Be Doing Teaching academic subjects, providing tutoring, or explaining curriculum material — students progress through self-directed applications; your function is motivation and coaching, not direct instruction Experiencing pressure to advance a student who hasn't shown mastery: performance standards remain consistent regardless of proximity to passing Handling classroom discipline: these are gifted, self-motivated learners; behavioral management is not your primary challenge Creating lesson plans independently: curriculum and instructional playbooks are established; your responsibility is high-quality execution, not curriculum design Correcting assignments, processing administrative documentation, or attending meetings disconnected from direct student outcomes Youth Program Coordinator Key Responsibilities Guide gifted K-12 students to achieve life skill mastery and reach their academic objectives at gt.school's Georgetown location.
