A great opportunity for a Trades Assistant to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Meeandah north east of Brisbane QLD . The Trades Assistant is responsible for the assistance of maintenance activities including tyre fitting on a vast range of exciting Defence vehicles and assets . Benefits $34.29 an hour plus Super Work 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on Fridays Training & Upskilling provided Relocation assistance for the right candidate Work on unique Defence vehicle and assets 17.5% Annual Leave Loading All tools, PPE and Uniforms provided On-site Parking About the role Helping trades personnel with all types of work in the workshop Assisting in maintenance and storeroom tasks Maintaining the work area in a neat and orderly manner Operating plant and equipment where qualified and licenced to do so About you Hold a current Driver’s License (HR preferred) Have a great attitude, a good work ethic and complete tasks with minimal supervision Additional experience would also be highly desirable; Tyre fitting experience High Risk Work license with competencies in Forklift Computer Literacy using Microsoft office products (especially Excel) You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance About Ventia As a leading services provider, we maintain, operate, and manage the essential infrastructure that makes modern life possible across Australia and New Zealand.
