JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a highly motivated System Simulation Engineer to join the Propulsion Virtual Thermal Management (VTM) team. This role is focused on the simulation and development of advanced thermal management systems , including air conditioning (A/C), engine cooling, battery thermal management, and cabin cooling systems . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 1D system simulation, CFD analysis, and thermo-fluid sciences , with the ability to independently execute simulations and provide engineering recommendations that drive product performance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Perform 1D and coupled 1D–3D simulations for propulsion and thermal management systems Support development of A/C, engine, battery, and cabin cooling systems Acquire, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources and generate technical reports Collaborate with system engineers to provide simulation-driven insights and design recommendations Support product development activities through modeling, analysis, and validatio Required Qualifications Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering with a focus on thermo-fluid systems 2+ years of experience with 1D simulation tools ( GT-SUITE, Amesim, Flowmaster, KULI, AVL Cruise, MATLAB/Simulink ) 2+ years of applied CFD experience using STAR-CCM+, ANSA, or TAITherm Strong fundamentals in Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Heat Transfer Good understanding of automotive systems and component functionality Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams with a proactive mindset Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in vehicle or powertrain thermal management Experience with automotive HVAC systems, cooling systems, climate control, and thermal protection Experience with Model-in-the-Loop (MiL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) validation Knowledge of advanced control algorithms , including AI-based approaches Familiarity with CAD tools Experience with optimization techniques and Design of Experiments (DoE) Experience in controls modeling Experience with co-simulation frameworks ( MATLAB/Simulink, GT–TAITherm ) Working knowledge of system bench testing, dynamometer testing, and vehicle test cells Demonstrated capability in methodology development and technical problem-solving Additional Requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience presenting technical findings to senior stakeholders Strong team player with the ability to work independently High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools Location : Windsor, ON Disclaimer: Kyyba is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
