Job Description Hybrid: This position requires you to work on-site 3 times a week (Tue to Thu) Position Overview We are seeking a high-performing Supply Chain Planning Senior professional to lead strategic planning activities with a strong focus on Future Material Flow Analysis (FMA) and end-to-end supply chain optimization. This role goes beyond traditional planning — connecting material flow strategy, supplier dynamics and global supply chain constraints to drive resilient, predictable and competitive operations. You will play a key role in how we anticipate, simulate and execute supply chain decisions in an increasingly complex global environment. Key Responsibilities Future Material Flow & Scenario Planning Anticipate supply chain constraints and optimize material availability across the network. Drive scenario simulation and forward-looking planning, enabling proactive decision-making under uncertainty. Analyze and manage global supply chain interdependencies, including supplier risks, capacity constraints, transportation variability and geopolitical exposure. Support network and footprint decisions by quantifying trade-offs between cost, lead time, risk and service. Stock Policy Define and evolve stock policy strategies (coverage, safety stock, segmentation, strategic banks), ensuring alignment with business volatility, lead times and supplier reliability. Monitor and continuously improve core supply chain KPIs for the assigned portfolio: material availability, stock coverage / DOH, backorders, premium freight, excess & obsolete. Ensure strong alignment with supplier policies, contractual frameworks and operational capabilities, making sure inventory strategies are executable. End-to-End Integration Act as a key integrator across Planning, Supply Operations, Logistics, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Global teams, aligning end-to-end decisions. Be a key integration point for Supply Chain Planning within DSM forums or similar forums, translating demand and commercial scenarios into feasible supply and inventory strategies. Monitor and improve end-to-end supply chain performance, identifying structural inefficiencies, systemic risks and opportunities for simplification. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, Comex or related fields. Strong experience in Supply Chain Planning / Material Planning, preferably in multi-plant or global environments. Proven knowledge in Future Material Flow Analysis (FMA) or equivalent planning methodologies (e.g., medium/long-term material visibility, pipeline analysis, MRD readiness, ramp-up / ramp-down). Solid understanding of stock policy design and supply chain optimization levers: safety stock, segmentation, lead time, buffers, sourcing strategies, dual sourcing, premium freight vs. inventory trade-offs. Experience dealing with global suppliers and supply chain constraints (capacity, raw material, logistics, trade, geopolitical). Fluent or Advanced English. Digital & Data Strategy (Highly Desirable) The following digital skills will be considered strong differentiators for this role: Experience using data-driven insights and predictive analytics to evolve planning processes and material strategies. Hands-on exposure to tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI or similar analytics solutions to model scenarios, stress-test assumptions and support decision-making. Experience contributing to digital tools, dashboards, simulations or automation initiatives (e.g., FMA tools, pipeline dashboards, inventory analytics) to enhance planning visibility and efficiency. Ability to translate business questions into analytical problems and convert data/analytics findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders. Curiosity and willingness to learn new digital tools and analytics capabilities over time. GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
