Role Description The Study Abroad Academic Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The consultant will advise students and their families on study pathways in Canada, the USA. and Australia, including academic programs, universities, admission requirements, and scholarship opportunities. This role involves conducting one-on-one consultations, assessing student profiles, and recommending suitable schools and programs. The consultant will guide students through application processes, document preparation, and interview readiness, and coordinate with internal visa and administrative teams. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining accurate student records, delivering information sessions or workshops, following up with prospective students, and supporting outreach and sales activities to grow the student base.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly and build trust with students and families.
- Background or strong interest in education, international education, or student advising, with understanding of study pathways to Canada, the USA. and Australia.
- Consulting and coaching skills to assess student goals, provide tailored guidance, and support informed decision-making.
- Sales and relationship-building skills to manage inquiries, convert leads to enrollments, and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Proficiency in Vietnamese and English, both spoken and written.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple student cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, International Relations, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Prior experience in study abroad counseling, education consulting, or a related service role is an advantage.
- Comfort working with basic office software and online communication tools.
