SERVICE TECHNICIAN Apply Overview Position Type Full Time Job Shift Any Travel Percentage Road Warrior Apply Description As a Mechanical Field Service Technician, you will be working in a demanding role as a direct representative of our company performing service, installation, upgrades, and precision alignment of Sawmill and Planer mill equipment for customers on-site in a professional environment. Duties · Travel and book travel arrangements · Travel internationally if needed · Timely and professional response to customer, supervisor, and co worker calls and emails · Troubleshooting of sawmill equipment · Perform routine maintenance and millwright duties, repairs, and technical advice · Perform and oversee precision alignment of equipment · Fill out reports, expenses, and time tickets in a timely manner · Ability to work irregular hours on a rotating shift · Communicate professionally with customers, engineers, and supervisors to insure all requirements are completed · Perform training to customers and trainees in professional manner · Installing equipment and start up as per blueprint requirements Job Type: Full-time Salary: $26.00 - $50.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee assistance program Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Relocation assistance Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Experience level: 3 years Schedule: 10 hour shift 12 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Holidays Night shift On call Overtime Weekend availability Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Millwright: 5 years (Preferred) Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Preferred) Sawmill Operation knowledge: 2 years (Preferred) Willingness to travel: 75% (Required) Work Location: On the road Qualifications Qualifications · Millwright and/or Fabrication Skills – Education and Experience · Machine Precision alignment knowledge · Hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication knowledge · Welding and fitting of sawmill equipment · Knowledge of sawmill and planer mill operations and flow process · Able to read blueprints · Computer skills in word, excel and PowerPoint, as well as completing reports and spreadsheets · Laser alignment abilities preferred · PLC controls knowledge and understanding operation of devices · Professional communications skills through email and verbally · Ability to cross international borders · Ability to work professionally in a demanding environment · Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check · Able to be a leader and designate tasks and projects in a professional manner · Must be reliable and able to travel · Must have a valid Driver’s license · Willing to learn and teach customers and personnel in a professional manner · Able to work well with others · Ability to make decisions · Complete a basic skills test
